New Trainer at Quail Run

AngieConnor4March 7, 2014

We at Quail Run are very excited to announce a new additon to our team!  Beginning March 11, 2014 QR will have a new trainer and instructor to help provide our services to our clients.  Professional Angie Connor will join us and will handle many of the beginner and novice lessons, as well as helping Dan and Dannee with customer training rides and lessons in general.

Angie worked for Quail Run several years ago and we are THRILLED to have her back again.  She will make an excellent addition to our staff!  We are particulary excited about the fact that Angie will often times stay home when the other trainers head off to competitions so that training rides and lessons can continue at Quail Run in their absence.

Here is Angie's Biography:

Angie Connor

AngieConnor3Angie "Irwin" Connor took her first riding lesson at Quail Run in 1990.  During her time as a student at Quail Run she showed a great interest and determination and was given the opportunity to be a working student at QR throughout her Junior High and High School years.

As a Junior rider, she had many successes in the Junior Hunters, the Equitation Medals, the Junior/AO Jumpers, and even a few smaller Grand Prixs.  All these accomplishments took place on her thoroughbred "All That Jazz", a horse she bought as a 4 year old and brought along herself.  With "Jazz", she had the privelege of representing Zone 6 in 1998 and 1999 at the National Junior Jumper Finals and Prix des States in Harrisburg, PA.

At the age of 18, Angie turned professional, and began riding and teaching for Quail Run.  Part of her duties at that time were to teach a AngieConnor2horseback riding PE class through Creighton University.  While teaching one of those classes, Angie met her now husband Sean Connor.  The pair have been married since 2005, and they recently welcomed their first child in June of 2013.

After living away from Omaha since 2006, Angie is very excited to be coming home to continue pursuing her passion of riding and teaching riders of all ages and levels.

Welcome to the team Angie!!!
